- The Pragmatic Programmer: From Journeyman to Master
- Smart and Gets Things Done: Joel Spolsky’s Concise Guide to Finding the Best Technical Talent

in Methodology
As some of you may have notice, I have some interest in the developers’ world. I should definitely add some “About Me” page soon, to describe a little more who I am (and not).
Anyway, this is my first post about methodology (and I hope not the last one). I will here consider the importance of responsibility among developers, and how they like to handle their work till its full completion. My idea could be summarized as: competent developers love to hold full responsibility for their work (until completion). Read the rest of this entry »

Hi !
I finally deployed wordpress (following some geek advice). Then I imported my previous blogger account here (after patching the url in the blogger.php import code) and now I’m ready to continue sharing my links… So where is the “new fresh start” ? First of all, a wonderful wp theme fully imported with no customization (I know I should improve the style as soon as I get some time). Actually, the new start is my plan to fill this blog with something else than developer resources links. You can already see than I added Categories, and I hope I’ll soon add some “unusual” content.
Last but not least: even if writing a blog in English is hype, cool and web 2.0 compliant (well maybe not web 2.0), I have to confess that sometimes writing ideas in your mother language is easier to ensure a good understanding. So I’ve come to the point that I will write some post in English and some in French.
See you soon on this new blog. Stay tuned !

Most mac users probably knows http://macromates.com which developped the TextMate editor. You can see it in action on http://www.symfony-project.com/screencast/cart . Anyway, under windows, there is no comparable editor, or is it? Reading their blog about windows and linux alternative editor (similar to textmate), you can find recurrent references to:
I think these are the 3 available options (the third being vim – http://www.vim.org/ but I should definitely take more time to fully use it’s features)
